Short biography of ‘‘Bruno M’’
Today, when speaking of Bruno_M, we are to speak neither more nor less of one young that dedicated music to it since the times most remote of his adolescence. Since 1999 to the middles of 2004, he was practicing of rap amateur of the streets of Luanda to the most varied 'Home Studios' of the city.
Still in 2004, for influence of friends with who he shared the neighbourhood became effective member of Alameda Squad, a very polemic group which had to illicit and the fights actions at the time with other generic groups in schools, and diverse edges of the city. In the ends of the same year (2004), also known as “Scocia” among the group, Bruno_M and some members of the group they were arrested in the C.C.L (Cadeia Central de Luanda) Jail for the first time, because of some bad acts practiced at the time, spending there few days before the liberty. «The Jail was as a necessary evil, because it was practically there where everything began… By the influence of some young that made kuduro for diversion there, I started to write some verses of kuduro, in which it portrayed my experiences at the time…».
Later, after freedom, decided to correct and to conclude some verses composites in the C.C.L., having then its first letter finished entitled “Não respeita, né?!”. «In the beginning of 2005 still I tried to look somebody that would sing “Não respeita, né?!”, but it was a vain effort, therefore I did not find nobody that sing, as I wanted the letter to be interpreted. In the height, I already made instrumentation of kuduro and capitation of voice in the caretaker studio, where I usually made the production of some kuduristas just before starting to singing, that’s why the given name of “Bruno_Mágico” named by the same kuduristas on which I did musical production. It was then when I tried to interpret the letter over an instrumental of my authorship, and happily the music was well has accepted, although not to have sung for expansion ends». Much time was not necessary and already a great number of young was making kuduro, being felt inspired in “Não respeita, né?!”.
Without any professional gold, Bruno_M launched in the middles of 2005 his second entitled song “I am”, English expression that it means in Portuguese Language “Eu sou”. «As it did not leave of being, it was a music that portrayed my experiences, my zone; whatever… Matter of fact I found in kuduro an open channel where I could state me in free way, with ends to show to the public in general that we were not exactly what the people said, but we know and we do the things in the better way...
Still in the ends of 2005, Bruno M started to compose his third song entitled “1 para 2”, having finished the same one only in the 2nd month of the following
Year (2006). It was a very natural letter where already they seemed verses with discouragement to the crime, whatever… “1 para 2” it was symbolically the start of a new era of kuduro, everything because from there in ahead already they appeared kuduro songs with a certain informative and educative content above of everything.
They had been three consecutive successes, the sufficient to even convince any listener, because nothing better that to hear to take off you doubt. Then there were the open doors so that solid project became “Batida Unica”.
